Product keys are required for installation of Autodesk products and are used to differentiate products that are both sold independently and as part of a product suite. For example, installing AutoCAD 2012 as a point product requires product key 001D1, but installing AutoCAD 2012 from the Autodesk Product Design Suite Ultimate 2012 requires product key 781D1. The same version of AutoCAD is in both software packages but the product key differentiates one package from the other.

Note: Please ensure you are using the correct product key for the Autodesk product and version you are installing. Entering an incorrect product key will result in activation errors for that product.

I'm trying to download Inventor 2012 32 bit to my only remaining (32 bit Win 7) machine, but I'm going in circles between virtual helper and other download options (trial, student). Is there a straight way to download older versions of all software using the student account. I also see that this is a huge issue for many students (particularly non- us) who don't have new 64 bit devices and won't any time soon. If Autodesk really wants to help students worldwide, they need to consider keeping 32 bit versions or older packages supported and available because many are stuck with no other option to replace their older devices. For me it's temporary, but it's a clear issue on the blogs. BTW, Incredible cudos and respect to Autodesk for their awesome service to educators and students. It's invaluable.
