I have already tried Roxio but they say they no longer support legacy product Easy Media Creator 10. I had told them that the problem started coincidental with the appearance of their promotional advert when I opened the EMC 10 and I hold them responsible for the interference with the software which was working perfectly well. From MS Media player window, by clicking on Library then Options then Plug-ins, I get a list which includes Video DSP, Audio DSP, and Other DSP.
